Scott Whitaker is an accomplished, senior-level marketer with significant expertise in corporate marketing, strategy and operations with Fortune 500 companies.
Scott has also held senior-level marketing and sales positions with several large advertising agencies, Sprint Nextel, and Simmons and has managed budgets in excess of $70 million, and staffs in the hundreds.
Scott has developed and pushed multi-million dollar projects and initiatives thru large companies and has presented and advised at the C-suite level. Scott knows how to gather input from key stakeholders, craft a strategy, gain consensus - and then execute.
Scott's professional experience includes:
- Developing branding strategies and marketing plans for companies in the hospitality, financial service, consumer durables and communications industries.
- Managing launch and start-up operations including retail site selection, capex funding requirements, staff recruitment and market level strategy.
- Leading consumer and business-to-business sales teams over diverse geographic territories and competitive landscapes.
- Developing customer acquisition and marketing promotion programs for retail store chains and for major national retailers.
- Creating and leading marketing departments at both the field and corporate levels.
Scott Whitaker also holds the Certified Management Consultant (CMC) credential. The CMC designation is awarded only to a select group of consultants (only 10,000 worldwide) who have demonstrated that they produce substantive results, adhere to the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) canon of ethics, and manage their practices professionally.
IMC USA participates in the 44-nation International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI), which sets the global standards of technical competence and professional conduct. CMCs must maintain this level of performance and stay current with global standards to be able to renew their certification every 3 years.
